I know I said I'd update more often, wellll I've come to the conclusion that my life is just so busy that I won't be able to post ALL the time but when I can :) something is better than nothing eh? so let me update you on my husbands journey to becoming officer.
It's been a long rough battle for him trying to become officer just because they're SO picky and want every single detail about his medical, I mean c'mon a cyst he had removed when he was 5? an allergy he had when he was like 2? I'm sure if the air force let him join then those aren't such huge issues lol but hey gotta do what the army wants. So basically all he is waiting for is his medical waiver to be approved *fingers crossed* he seriously deserves it! and the funny thing is he made a surprise stop to his recruiter's office the other day and he walked into the office and the brigade commander and 1st sgt was there! holy shit balls! those are the people who will determine if they want him or not. So as he try's to make a secret escape they called him over and was basically telling him they've been waiting for him they want him and it was nice to put a face with a file. SO AWESOME! so pretty much it's all on the medical waiver, and up to the dr to approve or not to approve, either way I'm extremely proud of him! however if he doesn't go officer I'm sure he will probably get out of the military, he has been offered several jobs making $150,000-$250,000/yr and that sounds a whole heck of a lot better than re-enlisting and staying at what $45,000 a year for a while lol any who fingers are crossed and I promise to keep everyone updated.
other than that things have been going amazing lately, my life feels pretty perfect. My drenched 5K is next Saturday July 6th and I think I'm most excited for the 3story free fall! a couple of my lady friends will be running it with me, there is nothing more exciting than running a 5k with firefighters spraying you with water :P lol since we are on the topic of fitness, my husband bought me my new protein powder called Nectar by syntrax. no carbs no calories, straight protein, it has no bad after tastes and actually doesn't taste bad, I don't think I'll get the green apple again just because it's a weird flavor for a shake lol he also got me a neon pink shaker bottle called "smart shaker" it's pretty awesome because you can unscrew the bottom and store protein powder and vitamins. speaking of vitamins he also bought me some frikkin $30 vitamins that are supposed to be "the best" they are for energy and metabolism, love them so far! and last but not least he got me some leopard "femme fetale" weight lifting gloves because I started getting calluses on my hands from lifting -.-
other than that, I've pretty much just been enjoying life with my amazing family and friends! father's day was awesome, got hubby new clothes, gym bag, smart tv and a cake :) so I guess Ill just leave yall with some pictures! and hopefully I'll be back soon!
